Often i have the need to write a small piece of custom software. Often its useful enough that others could benefit from it too so i offer these tools free of charge and without any liability whatsoever to those that can see a use for them.
The latest tool i have written is a stock ticker that takes an international stock code and automatically refreshes its basic information and displays a graph of its daily activity. It came from a need of mine to have a access to the pricing and graphical information for the public companies that i am interested in without having to pay money or refresh browser pages all day. Having done some research there was limited free tools that did this so i decided to write my own.
Features
The quintSoft stock ticker features an easy to use interface that allows the user to load as many tickers for as many stocks as desired from any market in the world. The ticker layout is very intutitive to read with different colors representing the various states of the stock as compared to the days open price. larger version graphs can also be shown for any nominal time period.
Once you have setup your workspace of stocks and arranged the tickers you can save the workspace in an XML format. This workspace can be opend at any time later on. with this feature you can manage as many workspaces as desired - categorised portfolios, watchlists etc.
As well as displaying stocks from international markets by entering the international stock symbol, the quintSoft stock reader also allows users to search for, select and read stocks from the ASX via an easy to use interface.

Requirments and Installation: The quintSoft stock ticker requires the Microsoft .NET framework version 1.1 or later and an active internet connection in order to function. Proxy servers are not yet supported. To use simply download the below ZIP file and extract all files to a folder on your local PC and run it.
